Atom — External Overview

Atom is the desktop Threadripper workstation in the Renderboxes lineup — an in-house chassis fabricated by Rapier. 45 × 47 × 37 cm (plus 5 cm for the handles), approximately 30 kg. This is a two-person lift if you’re moving it any distance.

Plug your monitor into the GPU

Not the motherboard

Atom has two full-length PCIe GPUs. Plug your monitor into the outputs on the primary GPU (usually the top card, closest to the CPU cooler). Motherboard video outputs are disabled. If you’re running a multi-monitor setup across both GPUs, your invoice notes which GPU is configured as primary.

Power

Atom uses two 1200 W Platinum SFX power supplies. Both mains cables must be connected for the workstation to run correctly — one cable per PSU, both socketed on the rear of the chassis.
