Molecule Air — External Overview

Molecule Air is Renderboxes’ enterprise-class dual-EPYC workstation. 50 × 71 × 50.5 cm, 50 kg. Install, move, or service always as a two-person operation on a bench rated for at least 75 kg.

For higher-bandwidth networking, most Molecule Air deployments add a PCIe NIC (10 / 25 / 100 GbE) at the workshop — this isn’t in the base spec but may be on your invoice.

Plug your monitor into the GPU

Remote console is usually the answer

Molecule Air has eight full-length PCIe GPUs in its base configuration. Plug your monitor into the primary GPU outputs — usually the top card. In production, most Molecule Air deployments are managed remotely via BMC/IPMI and have no local monitor at all.

Power

Molecule Air uses three 2000 W Platinum ATX power supplies. All three mains cables must be connected for the workstation to run correctly.

110 V installations need an electrician

Peak power draw can reach ~6000 W across all three PSUs, which is ~25 A at 240 V or ~54.5 A at 110 V — well beyond any standard domestic circuit. If you’re in a 110 V region, you must consult a qualified electrician and confirm your circuit, sockets, and UPS can handle the load before installation.
